Fret Not

“Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:6-7‬ ‭MSG‬‬

When all is alright pray, when all is not alright still pray, when all seems unreal still pray! It’s easy to pray when you need help from God, when you are in a fix and the stakes are higher sometimes prayer flies off the window and we start looking for human alternatives that will only end up getting more worried than you started.

Letting go and letting God is like an asthma patient having an asthma attack, you are obviously in distress, you need help, it’s not about drinking water or getting fresh air (this is like finding human means and using human wisdom to solve problems), looks like the patient is going to choke to death right? Then introduce Ventolin either by IVF or the inhaler and see the peace/relief the person feels. This can be likened to what happens when we let God displace worry in our lives.

There’s the “peace be still ” kind of relief that’s experienced, knowing that no matter how turbulent it is, the God who has a wholesome view of our life is in charge. That’s why you can burst into a song like “All I Ever Really Wanted” sung by @donmac653. When praying let God know you are confident He is in control.

It’s Friday and i am grateful to God!😉 TGIF 😎😀😀😃😆
