Obedience…the story of a Zara Shoe

“Those who think they can do it on their own end up obsessed with measuring their own moral muscle but never get around to exercising it in real life. Those who trust God’s action in them find that God’s Spirit is in them—living and breathing God! Obsession with self in these matters is a dead end; attention to God leads us out into the open, into a spacious, free life. Focusing on the self is the opposite of focusing on God. Anyone completely absorbed in self ignores God, ends up thinking more about self than God. That person ignores who God is and what he is doing. And God isn’t pleased at being ignored.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:5-8‬ ‭MSG‬‬

This picture is my lesson on disobeying the HolySpirit. So yesterday I decided to rock this shoe that I bought this year as an investment, the HolySpirit clearly told me to rock flats-brown flats in particular, didn’t obey cos I was too lazy to transfer my stuffs to a brown bag

Fast forward to yesterday night, after waiting on heels for 45mins to buy chicken and chips with coleslaw mcheeeew, I waited in the car for my close friend and her cousin to pick theirs I removed my legs from the shoe and placed them ON the shoe

Once they got to the car, I just sat straight leaving my dear shoe behind, we maneuvered our way around that spot, got home, ate and gisted in the car before heading to the house! That’s when I noticed my shoe was missing

We drove back to d scene and found the shoe looking this way- it pained me ehn. When I got home, HolySpirit clearly reminded me of the brown flat shoe instruction. It pays to be sensitive & obedient.

Wondering why the torture per this ugly pictures? Today it’s a shoe, tomorrow it could be something worse!
