Welcome to the maiden edition of #Lyricsandme

As explained in my last post, I will be reviewing gospel songs and how it ministered to me, please feel free to drop your comments or share your insights:

Nathaniel Bassey Feat Unwana Bassey Jumoke Oshoboke:

like a symphony

all in harmony

we will raise you a sound
it’s a sound of love

for no other one

but the one we adore
like a symphony

all in harmony

we will raise you a sound

it’s a sound of love

for no other one

but the one we adore
Yahweh Yahweh

the most High God

the most High God

Yahweh Yahweh

the most High God

the most High God

Have you ever seen a fully formed rainbow? Or sunset at the beach, it looks so beautifully pure it inspires the inner artist in you, you want to worship God in a different kind of way, singing Yahweh, Yahweh, the most High God.

The more I listened to the song, the more I realized that this can’t be sung except you have a personal relationship with the most High, it speaks of a lover who is telling his/her partner how special they are to them. In today’s world where there’s custom gowns, custom rings, custom designs, custom shoe, custom house etc, Nathaniel Bassey offered to God something different- He offered God a custom Worship. The line-

we will raise you a sound

it’s a sound of love

for no other one

but the one we adore

This reminds me to wake up and seek God, know Him and personally- your personal Yahweh, to Nathaniel Bassey, he expressed his worship the way he knows best – through songs.

Work on your relationship with God, you know when in a relationship with your significant other, after a while, you get to know their love language, what makes them happy, what they love from you. So Nathaniel Bassey has given us a hint of how beautiful customized worship is, let’s give God our customized worship, worship God with what talent you have, in words, in singing, in jokes, in painting. Whatever you do, ensure you give God a customized worship, after all He took time out to make you differently from others.
