The News and My Faith

Watching the news, reading papers, hearing economic gist these days can be discouraging; not reading or watching the news doesn’t make the challenging times we are living in go away- so we watch anyways.

How has this affected my faith- It will definitely affect ones faith, but you need to ask yourself should these happenings reduce your level of faith in God or strengthen it?

“If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” –Psalms‬ ‭11:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Inner joy, the one that comes from your absolute confidence in God, the one that comes from within, the one that comes from absolute trust in God despite what is happening around you, the one that comes from a sure and firm foundation and not man-made foundation.

Inner strength and glow, the one that makes others wonder what makes you tick (Jesus makes me tick and tock), the one that comes from an understanding that I can also walk on water, I can go to the bank with God’s promise cos He is the never-defaulting guarantor, theone that   Hebrews 11 explained-

1 The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see. The act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors, set them above the crowd. (‭Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭1-2‬ MSG)
